Browse Retail FixturesMass Fixtures & Signs is a commercial supplier based in Houston, Texas that builds the three things every store depends on to look established: custom retail display fixtures, commercial signage, and branded printing. From a single gondola shelving run to a full multi-location rollout, we design, fabricate, and deliver store fixtures USA retailers can put to work on day one, and we ship nationwide.
Here is a question worth sitting with before you spend another dollar on inventory. When a customer walks into your store, what do they see first, your products or the condition of the fixtures holding them?
Retail researchers have studied the entrance zone for decades, and the finding is consistent: shoppers decide fast whether a store feels worth their time. That judgment is shaped less by what you sell and more by what we call retail red flags. A handwritten sign taped to the register. Spring pushers with gaps where cartons should be. A dark storefront sign that makes the store look closed from the road. None of these problems cost much to fix. All of them cost you money every single day they stay in place.
Every one of these is a fixtures, signage, or printing problem. Which means every one of them is fixable with the right supplier.

See Printing ServicesStore fixtures in a working retail environment take more punishment than anything else in the building. Carts bump them, cartons get dragged across them, and customers lean on them. Our retail display fixtures are specified for that reality: commercial-grade steel, tempered glass, finishes that hold up to daily cleaning, and layouts planned around how people actually move through a store.
01
GONDOLA / SHELVING
Gondola shelving is the backbone of most retail floors, and the details decide whether it works. We supply freestanding H-frame gondola units, double-sided island runs, and wall shelving in standard and heavy-duty load ratings, with base decks, upper shelves, and end caps that turn aisle ends into selling space. For wall merchandising, our slatwall panels come in high-density MDF in matte white, ripple black, and premium textured finishes, paired with compatible hooks, brackets, and glass shelves. If you are working from a planogram, send it over. We will map shelf counts, merchandising zones, and aisle flow to it.
02
SHOWCASES / CASH WRAPS
Glass showcases do two jobs at once: they protect high-value or regulated merchandise and they put it at eye level under good light. We build full vision and extra vision showcases with tempered glass, optional LED lighting, and locking doors, along with corner filler units that reclaim the dead space at the end of a counter run. Behind the register, our checkout counters and cash wrap counters can be configured with POS cutouts, display tops, and under-counter storage, and we build lockable retail counters for dispensary and high-theft categories.
03
TOBACCO / DISPENSARY
Tobacco merchandising is where fixture quality and federal law meet. We build cigarette display racks with spring-loaded pushers that keep every facing full and every carton facing forward, overhead cigarette display racks and back bar fixtures that consolidate the category behind the counter, lockable cigarette display cases for jurisdictions and retailers that need them, and pusher trays sized for OTP and vape products. Every unit is built so restocking is fast and facings stay tight, because a tobacco wall with gaps reads as a store that is falling behind. Federal rules restrict self-service tobacco displays in most retail settings, and we design around that from the first sketch, not as an afterthought.
04
HARDWARE / ACCESSORIES
The small parts decide whether a fixture wall stays tight for years or sags in months. We stock heavy-duty retail display hooks, shelf brackets, glass shelves, and pusher components in matte black powder coat and chrome, so a single damaged part never forces a mismatched replacement.
A store can have the best fixtures in the city and still lose drive-by traffic to a competitor with a brighter sign. We design and install the complete signage system, exterior and interior, so the building itself starts selling before the customer reaches the door.
For storefronts, our custom channel letters are the workhorse of American retail. Front-lit channel letters light the face of each letter and read clearly at night, halo-lit (backlit) letters cast a glow on the building facade for a higher-end look, and open-face channel letters suit vintage and barbershop aesthetics. Letters can be raceway-mounted or individually mounted depending on the wall. For roadside and highway locations, we build pylon signs and monument signs sized to local code and sight distance, and for windows and entrances we install LED box signs and custom neon, built with UL-listed electrical components and weather-proof construction.
Inside the building, signage becomes wayfinding. Department markers, aisle identifiers, window graphics, and checkout markers reduce the friction of a first visit. We also produce ADA-compliant interior signage with tactile characters and mounting heights that meet the 2010 ADA Standards, because accessibility compliance is not optional and it is far cheaper to build right the first time.
The honest answer is that pricing depends on the sign, which is why we quote after seeing the storefront. Cost is driven by letter count and height, illumination type, mounting method, electrical run distance, and the permit situation. Simple single-line storefront letters often land in the low thousands installed, while large illuminated pylon signs for highway locations run considerably more. Send us the address and a photo of the facade and we will give you a real number, not a range designed to get a callback.
Digital ads disappear when the budget stops. Printed materials stay on counters, refrigerators, and windshields. We run a full commercial print operation so your in-store experience and your marketing materials carry the same brand.
The basics still close deals. We print business cards on stock that feels substantial, with matte, gloss, and UV coating finishes, plus die-cut options for brands that want to stand out. Around them sits everything else a working store uses weekly: flyer printing, tri-fold brochure printing, posters, door hangers, rack cards for tourism and hospitality, and pocket presentation folders with your logo for quotes and contracts. Plastic membership and loyalty cards keep your program in the customer's wallet instead of their junk folder. Digital printing handles short runs with same-day or next-day turnaround on many items, while offset printing drives the per-unit cost down on bulk orders. Not sure about bleed area, file setup, or finishes? Send what you have and we will prep it or tell you exactly what to fix.

When the message needs to be seen from the road, we print heavy-duty vinyl banners with grommets or pole pockets, mesh vinyl for windy locations, and waterproof outdoor banners built for Texas weather. For events and trade shows, retractable banner stands pack into a carry case and set up in under a minute, and custom feather flags pull attention to grand openings and sidewalk sales. We also produce EDDM-ready postcards for direct mail campaigns, with postage rates far below first-class, and temporary window graphics for promotions and seasonal changes.

Fixtures, signage, and printing from one team means one point of contact, one timeline, and a brand that looks designed instead of assembled from different vendors.
Most of what we sell involves specific sizing, lock hardware, glass types, or lighting, so we quote against your exact requirements. You see what each choice costs and pay for what you need.
FDA-compliant tobacco displays, ADA-compliant interior signage, UL-listed electrical components, and permit guidance under the Houston sign code are built into the spec, not added later at your expense.
Our fixture programs run through USA-based supply chains, which means shorter lead times, consistent finishes across reorders, and parts you can actually get again next year.
Call or text +1 832-251-3997 and you reach the team handling your order. No ticket queues.
Fixtures and signs are regulated more than most owners expect. Ignoring the rules gets expensive at inspection time, so compliance is part of every spec we send out.
Federal law under 21 CFR 1140.16 generally prohibits self-service displays of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco in retail settings open to customers under 21. Our cigarette display racks, lockable cases, and behind-counter tobacco back bar systems are designed so staff control access while the category stays fully merchandised.
FDA — Tobacco Retailer Regulations ↗Permanent room signs must meet the 2010 ADA Standards, including tactile characters and compliant mounting heights between 48 and 60 inches to the baseline of characters. We build interior signs to that standard as a default, not an upgrade.
ADA.gov — 2010 ADA Standards ↗Illuminated signage is built with UL-listed components under UL 48 and UL 879 standards for electric and neon signs.
UL Solutions — Electric Sign Certification ↗Exterior signs in Houston require permits under the city's sign ordinance, and size, height, and placement all affect approval. We guide you through the permit before fabrication starts, so the sign on the wall is a sign that is legal to keep.
City of Houston — Code of Ordinances ↗Ask us about the rules that apply to your store type and location. It is a five-minute conversation that can save you a failed inspection.
Mass Fixtures & Signs is headquartered in Houston, Texas, in the same wholesale district on Harwin Drive where the city's retailers have sourced store equipment for decades. That location matters for practical reasons: you can see full-size gondola shelving, showcases, and counters in person before you commit, and Houston-area orders move fast.
We regularly serve store owners and contractors across Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pasadena, Baytown, Cypress, and Pearland, and we ship gondola shelving, glass showcases, and crated signage to retailers in all 50 states. Wherever the store is, the process is the same: send the space, get a spec, approve a quote.
Mass Fixtures & Signs supplies gondola shelving, showcases, checkout counters, slatwall systems, and tobacco fixtures from Houston, with local pickup and delivery across the metro area and freight shipping to all 50 states. Call or WhatsApp +1 832-251-3997 with your floor plan and we will specify the order.
Cost depends on letter size and count, illumination type (front-lit or halo-lit), mounting method, electrical distance, and permits. A basic storefront set often starts in the low thousands installed, while large pylon signs cost considerably more. Send us your address and a facade photo for a written quote.
Standard items like gondola shelving and showcases often ship quickly from stock or short-lead programs. Custom sizes, finishes, and lock hardware typically add production time, and we confirm the lead time in writing on every quote before you commit.
Yes. Finishes like matte black powder coat, chrome, and specific slatwall colors can be matched to existing fixtures, and print and signage colors are produced to your brand values so new pieces blend with what you already own.
On many digital items such as business cards, flyers, and posters, yes. Large-format and specialty finishes run on their own schedules, and we confirm the delivery date on the proof before production starts.
Here is the part most owners feel in their stomach before they admit it out loud. Every week that passes with a dark sign, a cluttered counter, or a sagging shelf is a week of customers quietly choosing the competitor who already fixed theirs. The fix is not a mystery. It is a floor plan, a written quote, and a supplier who answers the phone.
If you are opening a new location, the fixture plan should come before the lease signing, because layout decisions made early are the cheapest ones you will ever make. If you are remodeling, send us a photo of the worst corner of your store and we will tell you honestly what it needs and what it costs.
